Yard Inspectors Family Program
Step into the shoes of an inspector in-training and follow clues to uncover maritime treasures of the Brooklyn Navy Yard! Search for tugboats, New York City Fire Department fireboats, and barges, see where they get repaired, and participate in a dry dock simulation with a small-scale hands-on model! This Yard-wide adventure is fun for the whole family but especially for families with children ages 6-12. This program is designed to meet the needs of children of all abilities and is available as a private tour and on select days throughout the year as a public tour through the Brooklyn Navy Yard Center at BLDG 92’s Community Days programming.
