Turnstile Tours is both a New York-state registered Benefit Corporation, a legal corporation status, and a Certified B Corporation, a voluntary third-party certification (read about the exact meaning of these terms on our blog).
Since our incorporation as a New York Benefit Corporation, we have conducted an annual comprehensive evaluation of our community and environmental impacts using a third-party standard (in this case, the B Impact Assessment), and we make this report publicly available. In January 2015, Turnstile Tours became a Certified B Corporation, joining a community of over 1,200 socially- and environmentally-conscientious companies that go above and beyond to meet these rigorous standards. Turnstile Tours renewed its status as a Certified B Corporation in 2017, and again in 2021 (based on 2019 data; the assessment was delayed by certifier B Lab due to the pandemic).
