Three weeks ago, we held the final installment of our Seasonal Photography Tours of the Brooklyn Navy Yard for 2014. Thank you to all the photographers who submitted their work for our photography contest; as usual, they brought the varied landscapes of the Yard to life.
In the coming weeks, three photographs from among these submissions will be selected by Travis Magee, a professional photographer and alumni of the BLDG 92 Visiting Artist Program (the application deadline for 2015 is Nov. 25). These photographs, along with the nine other selected winners from the other photo tours in 2014, will go on display in the lobby of the Brooklyn Navy Yard Center at BLDG 92; they’ll also be entered to win two grand prizes of private tours of the Yard for up to 30 people. Online voting for the 2014 People’s Choice photo winner will begin soon, so stay tuned to Turnstile Tours on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram to cast your vote.

Turnstile Tours offers the Seasonal Photography Tour of the Brooklyn Navy Yard four times throughout the year. The first tour of the 2015 season will be Sunday, January 25 at 11am (tickets ill go on sale shortly). Get more information here, and advance ticket purchase is highly recommended. We also offer our Past, Present & Future Tour of the Brooklyn Navy Yard every Saturday and Sunday 2-4pm, and other special themed tours of the Yard. All tours are offered in partnership with and begin at the Brooklyn Navy Yard Center at BLDG 92, which offers free admission to three floors of exhibitions on the yard’s past and present and a host of great special events and programs.
