A once in a generation experience is happening this July in New York Harbor to mark our country’s 250th birthday. Dozens of ships will be gathering for the celebration, including military ships from the US and allied navies and some of the grandest tall ships from across the globe. Known as the International Naval Review, this will be the first such assembly of naval ships in our harbor since 1986, and the tall ship regatta organized by Sail 4th 250 will also been the largest seen in 40 years. Join us and Classic Harbor Line for a cruise around the harbor to get a waterside view of these ships and learn about 250 years of maritime and military history in New York Harbor.
Tours will be led by expert guides, including from our team at Turnstile, and from the National Maritime Historical Society, Tall Ships America, and Untapped New York.
There are three options to explore with us during this week:
- July 2 & 3, 2.75-hour tours: Before the official INR and Sail 4th activities kick off, join us for an extended cruise about the military history of the harbor, and we will get a chance to see many of the military ships taking up their positions for the celebrations on July 4 in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Staten Island, and New Jersey.
- July 4–8, 2.75-hour tour: Get the full experience of the visiting ships, as this route will cruise well up the Hudson and East Rivers, and visit military and tall ship berths in Staten Island and South Brooklyn.
- July 4–8, 1.5-hour tour: This shorter tour will focus on ships in the lower Hudson River, Lower Manhattan, and Brooklyn Bridge Park.
