The former Naval Hospital Cemetery at the Brooklyn Navy Yard is now a publicly-accessible green space created by the Brooklyn Greenway Initiative. Part of the Brooklyn Waterfront Greenway, a 14-mile bicycle and pedestrian path, this site has been designed as a natural area populated exclusively by native plant species and provides visitors with an escape from urban life. The Landscape hosts a variety of public programs, and it is open to the general public (check their website for current hours), and it a short walk from the Brooklyn Navy Yard Center at BLDG 92.
