Earlier this year, we completed our third series of special photography tours of the Brooklyn Navy Yard, and once again, the Yard proved to be a compelling and multi-faceted tapestry for photographers in all four seasons. These two-hour explorations were led in partnership with the Brooklyn Navy Yard Center at BLDG 92, but we also had help from a generous group of artists and photographers. We received 143 submissions from 23 different visitors for our photography contest, and these four judges volunteered their time to winnow them down to the 12 you see below.
Now we need your help to pick just one.
The photograph that receives the most votes will win the People’s Choice Award, and the winning photographer will receive a complimentary two-hour tour of the Brooklyn Navy Yard with Turnstile Tours for up to 30 people. If you would like to participate in next year’s photo contest, our first Seasonal Photography Tour of 2016 will take place Sunday, January 31 – get tickets here.
VOTING INSTRUCTIONS
You may vote for only one photograph, and you may vote only once from a device (computer, smartphone, iPad, etc.). These photographs will also be on display at BLDG 92 starting in late December, and you can peruse them and cast a paper ballot in person for your favorite shot. Voting will take place until 11:59pm on Sunday, January 24. More information about the photographs, photographers, and judges is below.

Turnstile Tours offers the Seasonal Photography Tour of the Brooklyn Navy Yard four times throughout the year. The first tour of the 2016 season will be Sunday, January 31 at 2pm. We also offer our Past, Present & Future Tour of the Brooklyn Navy Yard every weekend 2-4pm, and other special themed tours of The Yard. All tours are offered in partnership with and begin at the Brooklyn Navy Yard Center at BLDG 92, which offers free admission to three floors of exhibitions on the Yard’s past and present and a host of great special events and programs.
